Get ready for five weeks of free family fun as Summer of Sport arrives at The Forge Shopping Centre from Tuesday 30 June until Saturday 1 August 2026.
Taking place every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 11:00am – 3:00pm in Unit 104, our exciting summer programme celebrates the biggest sporting events of the year, including the FIFA World Cup and the Commonwealth Games.
Each week, little shoppers can enjoy a fantastic mix of sporting challenges and creative crafts, all completely free to take part in. The specially themed activity space will be transformed with colourful decorations and divided into two fun zones – a craft area where children can create and take home their sporting masterpieces, and an interactive sports zone packed with exciting challenges.
What’s On?
Week 1 – Football Fever
Design your own football shirt keyring and test your skills on our giant Inflatable FootDarts.
Week 2 – Support Your Nation
Create colourful tissue paper world flags and take on the FootDarts challenge once again.
Week 3 – Wimbledon Week
Celebrate the famous tennis tournament by creating your very own tennis racket before stepping onto our mini court to show off your tennis skills.
Week 4 – Commonwealth Games Kick-Off
Celebrate the start of the Commonwealth Games with sporting colouring activities and a fun basketball shootout.
Week 5 – Champions Week
Design your very own medal and finish the summer with our exciting netball challenge.
