Meet a range of friendly animals at the petting zoo, get creative with Easter themed crafts, meet Easter favourites with the walkabout characters, win prizes by completing the giant egg trail, and help us find the missing hens around The Forge.
All our Easter events are family friendly and completely free to attend, so there is plenty to do to keep the kids entertained throughout the school holidays.
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times when participating in our Easter activities.
Petting Zoo
10th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 17th & 18th April: 10am – 2pm
Hosted by the fantastic team from Animal Man’s Mini Zoo, this is your opportunity to meet, hold and get photos with a range of animals including Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Tortoise, Mice, Tarantulas, Giant African land snails, Crickets, Locust, Cockroaches, Morio worms, Bearded dragons, Leopard geckos, Stick insects and Millipedes.
No booking is required, however as it is first come first served, we do recommend coming out of peak hours to avoid queueing. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times when in the petting zoo.
The petting zoo will take place in our event space, opposite Primark and The Fragrance Shop.
Easter Themed Crafts
10th, 11th, 14th – 18th April: 10am – 2pm
Unleash your creativity and have fun with our Easter themed crafts. Learn how to make cute or scary animal masks, and get crafty with the design your own flowerpot sessions.
Our Easter crafts will take place in the event space, opposite Primark and The Fragrance Shop.
Walkabout Characters
10th, 11th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th & 18th April: multiple times between 10am and 2pm
Prepare to meet friendly and fun Easter characters on your visit to The Forge. The bunny and chicken will be out and about handing out mini Easter eggs to our visitors to make sure everyone is in the Easter mood!
Our walkabout characters will be roaming all over The Forge throughout each day.
Giant Egg Hunt
8th – 21st April
Would you like the chance of winning an Easter hamper worth over £30? Pick up a trail card, follow the clues to the giant eggs, crack the code and you will be entered into the draw!
5 giant eggs have been hidden around The Forge, each with a letter. Find all the eggs, write down the letters, unscramble them to make an Easter related word and you could be in with a chance of winning.
Trail cards, the start of the trail and the post box for completed trail cards can be found next the event space, opposite Primark and The Fragrance Shop.
Help us Find the Missing Hens
8th – 21st April
Help! 10 hens have escaped from the Hen Hoose and are hiding around The Forge, and we need your help to find them!
Each day, a hint to the location of one of the hens will be shared on our Facebook page. Comment on the post which store or cafe you think the bunny is hiding and, if correct, you will be entered into a prize draw at the end of the week for an £25 voucher.
And remember, we need help finding every hen, so make sure you comment every day to help us find them all!
