With Kids is a charity in Dennistoun that offers emotional and practical support to children and their families to help build resilience and support mental health and wellbeing. We provide play therapy to help children deal with emotional difficulties and also offer a range of other one to one, group, parents and family supports.
The past year and a half has been tough for us all but for families already dealing with difficulties the impact has been detrimental. We’re now seeing a rise in emotional difficulties in children, parents and carers and many more families struggling to make ends meets and it’s a sad fact that many families simply don’t have enough to eat. For these and many other families Christmas is just another added pressure and incredibly stressful time of year.
To help alleviate some of this stress we are raising funds to help buy presents for Christmas morning and for a food shopping so that no child goes hungry. We are also raising funds towards emotional support throughout the year so that our children continue to be helped not just for Christmas but for life.’
