COVID-19 Update

July 2021

Following from the Scottish Government announcement (13/07/21), Glasgow City will be moving into Level 0 COVID Restrictions from Monday 19th July 2021.

However there is now going be ‘certain modifications’ to the rules previously laid out.

These changes have been made to “ensure pacing of easing restrictions is sensible”, and that certain mitigations like mandatory face coverings will remain in place.

The Forge Shopping Centre remains open to serve our local community. All our retailer are now opened. The Centre will open at the following times:

  • Monday – Saturday 8.30am – 6pm
  • Sunday 9am – 6pm
  • Gallowgate entrance open late for Cineworld

For individual retailer opening times, please check with each individual retailer.

The health and safety of our customers and our employees continues to be our priority at all times and The Forge Shopping Centre has introduced the following measures to keep you safe:

One Way System

Hand Sanitisers throughout the Centre

Limited numbers into the Centre and to individual stores

Queuing Systems

Increased cleaning

We would like to take this time to remind you of social distancing and wearing your facemask whilst visiting the Centre.

Following from the Scottish Government announcement (04/01/20), Glasgow City has been placed into a total lock down and you can only visit the Centre for essential reasons only. This means that only essential retailers, takeaway food operators and click & collect services can trade.

The Forge Shopping Centre remains open to serve our local community. Only essential retail, Click & Collect services, Hair dressers/Barbers (Appointments only) and cafes offering takeaway will be open. The Centre will open at the following times:

  • Monday – Saturday 8.30am – 6pm
  • Sunday 9am – 6pm

Some essential businesses have made the decision to change their trading hours, therefore we recommend that you check with the individual stores regarding their opening times.

All of our retailers will be implementing their own health and safety processes and we encourage you to check their social media platforms for any changes to opening times.

We would like to take this time to remind you of social distancing at this time and ask you to respect the 2M distance between other people whilst visiting the Centre. Please remember to wear your facemask when entering the Centre.
