Christmas Light Switch On

The date is almost upon us, the Christmas Lights Switch On event will take place on Saturday 9th & Sunday 10th November.

We have changed the structure of the Light Switch on and this will now be over 2 days. This is based on feedback as it is a very long day for families with young children.

Saturday 9th will include the arrival of Santa’s arrival and the day’s activities will be focused on kids.

Sunday 10th will be the actual switching on of the lights and the legendary fireworks finale.

A fantastic weekend of FREE family fun and entertainment has been planned.  Activities will be spread throughout the centre to encourage shoppers to move around.  Two stage areas will be used, Gallowgate seating area for the family/children’s entertainment, while the main live performances will take place on the balustrade on the upper level, in front of the Subway sign.

Activities commence at 12pm each day until 5.30pm and conclude with a fantastic firework finale at 5.45pm on Sunday 10th November.

Saturday 9th November

12pm – McCallum School of Music presents Frozen Show

12.30pm – Santa’s Arrival on to stage and parade to grotto.

1pm – Santa’s Grotto Opens

2pm – McCallum School of Music Solo Singers

2.30pm – Wicked Entertainment presents the Descendants Show

3pm – Meet and Greet Descendants

3.30pm – McCallum School of Music presents The Greatest Showman Show

4pm – Vltage

4.30pm – Just the Brave

Saturday 13th will include the arrival of Santa’s arrival and the opening of Santa’s Grotto,

Sunday 14th will be the actual switching on of the lights and the legendary fireworks finale.

A fantastic weekend of FREE family fun and entertainment has been planned.  Activities will be spread throughout the centre to encourage shoppers to move around.

There will be a Christmas Market located in the upper level facing the cinema for the first time, 16 handpicked christmas traders will be on showcase. We will also have fairground rides located in Car Park G (outside the cinema entrance)

Light Switch On Weekend 13th – 14th November, 12pm – 4pm each day.
